Your eyes looking up at me from under a misbehaving bit of hair,
Like a warm blanket on a cool evening,
You make me laugh,
And I look forward to your every "hello" or "yo",
I see your hands tremble,
But there's nothing to fear my dear,
I am your biggest fan and the best of friend,
You light up my day and spark my soul,
I am behind you no matter what,
You are a bright shining light in a sometimes dark and dreary world.

A Smile...

Funny how a smile can turn your world around. It changes the day like a summer thunderstorm drifting in from seemingly nowhere. Suddenly you're drenched, happily laughing while running indoors or for the safety of an overhang. Then watching in awe as the thunder and lightning bring their own fireworks.

Better yet helping create that smile when a friend needs it most, whether it be in the roar of a summer's storm or simply standing in front of a vending machine making a selection. Each smile creates its reciprocal in return, and there's warmth found from the chilling rain. Both knowing that you have one another to lean on... or simply sharing the brief sweetness of fruit candy.
